Gang members kidnapped a group of 17 Christian missionaries in Haiti three weeks ago. They're still missing.
The 17 members of Christian Aid Ministries were visiting a local orphanage before members of the notorious “400 Mawazo” gang seized their bus and kidnapped them.
According to local sources, the gang is asking for a ransom of US$17 million (about AU$22.5 million) for the group’s release.
Among the group, there are five men, seven women and five children aged three, six, 14 and 15-years-old. According to sources, a baby is also among the abducted.
“Join us in praying for those who are being held hostage, the kidnappers and the families, friends and churches of those affected,” Christian Aid Ministries said in a statement. “As an organisation, we commit this situation to God and trust Him to see us through.”
After three weeks missing, this situation is more dangerous than ever. Will you take a moment to pray?
