Pray for 80-year-old Mrs. Tam* who lives in a province in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam. For over a decade now, she has persistently followed Christ, despite facing severe opposition from her own children.
They forbid her from attending church services on Sundays, withhold food from her, and threaten her with further isolation if she continues in her faith. So, every time she went to church, she goes in secret and mentally afraid of what her children will do to her if found out.
Her situation is heightened by pressure from the local authorities, who have warned her to renounce her Christian faith or risk losing social benefits provided to her by the government due to her child's death in the war. Yet, Mrs. Tam’s love for God remains resolute.
Isaac*, OD local partner shares, “The church members have been great source of encouragement for Mrs. Tam, providing her with spiritual nourishment and emotional support. Despite her age face, she diligently studies God’s Word with the church every week. We ask you to remember her in prayers, asking God to continue to strengthen her to stand firm in the faith despite challenges.”
*Names changed due to security reasons.
For Mrs. Tam to continue to pursue God despite the opposition she faces from her children and the authorities.
